Fashion has always been an interest of mine, which is why I chose the topic of fashion over any of the others. To produce this piece, I did a lot of brainstorming and research, as always. This problem definitely proposed a few challenges for me in the beginning. When I decided on my topic, I didn't really think too much about the finding quotes from To Kill A Mockingbird pertaining to it. After I got to the part where I had to find those quotes, it took me quite a while to find the quotations I could use because the novel doesn't really mention the characters' clothes much. Most of my time was spent on trying to find parts of the book that contained fashion, but I ended up finding some parts that would work.
I am proud of this piece of work, even though it was a shorter project. I particularly like the format of my website and the images I added. There is just something about the color scheme and fonts in my website that I love. When I saw the dark burgundy color and the elegant white font, I immediately thought of vintage fashion. I also think the colorless photos I added that came from that time period definitely helped enhance my website. The part I disliked about it was the length. There was not very much explanation throughout the entire website. Most of the words were in quotes and I feel like I could have given more explanation on what the fashion was really like. If I had a chance to do this piece over again, I would most likely add more tabs. I met exactly what the requirements asked for, but I feel like I could have added more information to make the topic a bit more interesting. I had so much information in my brainstorm that I left out of my final website because I wanted to hit the key points on the rubric exactly. |
